Overview

Wira Seafood Ikan Bakar in Taman Sri Gombak brings an inviting blend of Malay and Thai flavors to the bustling Batu Caves area of Selangor. Nestled at 18, Jalan SG 1/10, this spacious seafood eatery stands out with its diverse menu that highlights freshly grilled fish and a wide array of shellfish. From the smoky Ikan Siakap Bakar and succulent Jenahak Gulai Kuning to the crispy Sotong Goreng Tepung and aromatic Tomyam Campur, every dish reflects a thoughtful balance of local tastes and vibrant Thai influences.

The experience here is designed for communal dining, perfect for families and groups looking to celebrate special occasions. The décor includes birthday-themed wall embellishments, making it a popular choice for lively gatherings. While the restaurant favors an open-air layout, which enhances the natural ambiance, it also means guests should be mindful of smoke from the grilling areas, especially when dining with children.

Ordering is streamlined through a QR code system, allowing diners to explore the extensive offerings with ease. Despite the efficient ordering process, some have noted longer wait times, particularly during less crowded hours, hinting at the kitchen’s dedication to preparing each dish with care. The cleaner facilities, including a well-maintained surau and washrooms, add to the comfortable dining environment.

Parking is a common challenge due to the location within a residential neighborhood, especially during peak hours. This aspect requires some patience and planning but doesn’t diminish the overall appeal. The atmosphere caters well to seafood lovers who value variety and quality, with items like Ikan Pari Bakar and large-sized Kerang earning praises for their freshness and flavorful sauces that elevate the dishes.

Wira Seafood Ikan Bakar represents more than just a meal; it’s a celebration of regional flavors and community warmth. Whether it’s the crispy fried prawns, the unique blend found in Siakap Tiga Rasa, or the nuanced spice of Beef Tendon Soup, this spot delivers a memorable seafood dining experience amidst the vibrant cultural tapestry of Taman Sri Gombak.

Went here for seafood experience as locals recommended this place for variety of seafood options. They have QR order system so it's easy for those first timers to look at their extensive menu. However during my visit the waiting time for those foods to be delivered to my table was quite long even though we went there during the place just opened. There are not much people during that time but still taking quite long time to prepare the food. Place is quite spacious but the parking place could be limited during peak hours here. It is suitable place for birthday celebrations too as they have decoration on the walls prepared as well for birthdays celebration area. To conclude it up, the taste was good, in the end it was enjoyable experience. Would bring my family/ friends again here.

limited parking, the place is huge but at dinner time it is so full with people and you have to depend on your luck to get a spot for parking. There are so many food choices, but there is no air conditioned space so you have to pick your best seat to avoid smoke especially if you come with small kids or babies.

Food is nice. There are lots of seafood choices to cook on. Myself choose ikan pari, kerang (big size). Overall are nice, this is located in housing area. The price slightly exp. Sauce is the key on the fish and kerang.

The foods were good. So many choices. Price is affordable. They got surau also which was really clean. And the toilet was clean also. The service was fast. However the parking kinda hard. Pretty sure when it’s on peak hour, it will be really difficult to park there. Will repeat again

This place is a seafood haven! I had the chance to try several dishes here and was genuinely impressed. Kerang Rebus – Fresh, juicy, and besar gila! The portion was generous, and it came with two types of dipping sauces—one tangy and one spicy. Perfect combo to bring out the flavor. Nasi Goreng Cina – A comforting classic done right. Fluffy rice, not too oily, and packed with just enough seasoning and veggies. Sup Belut – Definitely a unique highlight! The eel soup was rich, flavorful, and soothing—highly recommended if you're feeling adventurous or want something warming. Ikan Siakap Bakar – Grilled to perfection with sambal that packs a punch. The fish was fresh and tender, with a smoky char that added depth to the flavor. Served with ulam and sambal, just the way I like it. The place also has a wide selection of fresh seafood on display—you can pick your seafood and have it cooked the way you want. Plus, the Thai-style miang kham on display was a nice bonus to see, and adds a unique touch to the dining experience. Great food, reasonable price, and friendly staff. Definitely a must-visit spot for seafood lovers in Gombak!

Ordered perut muda asam and kerang rebus. Kerang are hugeee so satisfying. Perut muda agak chewy but masam2 is so good. Fast service and helpful server as I couldn’t finish the food so I requested for take out. Highly recommended to come here and experience it yourself. There are so many varieties of food actually, ie different types of soups, ulam2 and sos2 yang pelbagai. O yea quite pricey but worthy of the price. There’s choice of alive eels if one fancies to eat it freshly cooked. Not for me tho Psa: parking is horrid. Park outside the area and walk in is better than park inside as the space is so narrow
